At Benslimane, some forty kilometres from Casablanca, Morocco is building what is billed as the future largest football stadium in the world: 115,000 seats under a giant “tent”. A declared candidate for the final.

Host stadium
Completely rebuilt and reopened on 5 September 2025 with 69,500 seats, the Rabat stadium hosted the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium, opened in 1983, was demolished and rebuilt on the same site for around MAD 686 million. Reopened on 5 September 2025, it holds 69,500 (68,700 according to some sources) and is home to AS FAR and the Atlas Lions. It was the main stadium of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with several group matches and the final (18 January 2026).
2030
The stadium is finished and ready. It is regularly presented as the host of a 2030 semi-final: that reflects the ambitions of the Moroccan bid, not a FIFA allocation.
Getting there
Tram lines 1 and 2 to Madinat Al Irfane (flat fare of 7 dirhams since July 2025), then a taxi; or a petit taxi straight from the centre (30 to 50 dirhams, 15 minutes). From Rabat-Salé airport: taxi 150 to 200 dirhams.
