At Benslimane, some forty kilometres from Casablanca, Morocco is building what is billed as the future largest football stadium in the world: 115,000 seats under a giant “tent”. A declared candidate for the final.

Host stadium Under renovation
The Adrar stadium (41,800 seats) is preparing phase 2 — a 360° panoramic roof and 46,000 seats — with a new trambus running in the city since 2026.
Opened in October 2013 on the edge of Agadir, the Grand Stade d’Agadir (Adrar stadium) was renovated in phase 1 for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations: outdoor areas, car park raised from 2,600 to 4,100 spaces, training pitches. Current capacity: 41,800 seats (figures range from 35,600 to 45,480 depending on the source).
2030
For phase 2 (a 360° roof, hospitality boxes, capacity up to 46,000), the first contracts were launched by ANEP in June 2026, targeting 2028. Figures of 70,000 seats have circulated: they are not corroborated.
Getting there
Mainly by taxi: 50 to 80 dirhams from the seafront hotels (15 minutes), 150 to 200 dirhams from Al Massira airport. Free parking for 4,100 cars. Since April–May 2026, the “Amalway” trambus (5 dirhams a journey) has linked the port to Tikiouine in 45 minutes.
